Simon Jones spent 30 years with BP and has experience with Legacy Containers, Bulker and General Cargo tankers. He spent 15 Years at Sea with the BP Fleet: - VLCC, Products and LNG. Chief Engineer 7 Years, and 15 Years in the BP Shipping Office, as Supt and Senior Level Leader. Jones has also held Eng Superintendent Roles - New Build Machinery; Engineering Standards, Planned Maintenance; and Classification Society Single Point of Contact. Jones also spent 3 Years as a Senior Vetting Superintendent, during the introduction of iMAS. Other roles and duties included; Integrated Vetting and Port Clearance, 4 Years LNG Assurance, Subject Matter Expert Role; Compatibility and Mooring Analysis. He was responsible for the Introduction of 6 x New MEGI into the fleet of Turbine and DFDE vessels, and spent 3 Years as the Vetting Manager Europe, Middle East, Africa (Integrated with BP Oil & Gas Trading Benches in Canary Wharf).
